Tour “Down the Biy-Khem with fishing”

Total length of the float is 70 km
Maximum day walk — 18 km.
The tour requires no special sports training, is available to all ages, including physicall challenged persons.
The small length of the float leaves more time for fishing and enjoying the nature of the Sayan Mountains. Experienced cooks in lodges will make rich fish soup of the catch from the float and the day’s stay, fry fish and cook hoe for those who like it hot.

Tour programm:

Day, 1
A group of 10-12 tourists will fly from the Novosibirsk airport Severniy to the capital of Tuva, Kyzyl, the geographic center of Asia, by plain Yak-40. Our guides will meet you at the airport and take you to the hotel by bus.
Night at the hotel.

Day, 2
Breakfast at the hotel. In the company of two guides you will fly in 1h 30 m by helicopter Mi-8 (‘Tuva Air’) to the Biy-Khem waterfall. There the tourist shelter ‘Waterfall’ is equipped with 2 and 4-person (2-room) vast camping tents 'Terca Tents' with collapsible beds, chairs, tables and hangers will be waiting for you. Electricity is supplied by a mobile power station, food, security and medical care are provided. There is a sauna. The tourists will be offered rest and fishing. Those who like diving can try their luck in submarine hunting near the waterfall. Instructions will be given.

Day, 3
Fishing float down the Biy-Khem to the shelter ‘Lake of the Big Beast’ situated in 2.5 km from the most beautiful lake Uluk-An-Khol’, accompanied by experienced guides which in Tuvinian means ‘The Lake of the Big Beast’. This stretch of the river is not very fast, which allows not only work with your oars, but appreciate the beautiful landscapes of the Biy-Khem banks.
Return. Night in the shelter ‘Lake of the Big Beast’.

Day, 4
A radial route to the lake Ulug-An-Khol', promising you a lot of new impressions and fine fishing. Fishing at the lake, rest, picnicking.

Day, 5
Fishing float down the Biy-Khem to the shelter ‘The River of Calliopses’. Here the river comes into the Todzha hollow, where its speed noticeably increases; the river cuts its way through the most beautiful rocks. This stretch of the float is quite short, so the most part of the time will be devoted to fishing, and in July and August — picking berries and mushrooms.

Day, 6
Float down the Biy-Khem to the estuary of the Selig-Khem. You stiil have time to catch some fish and treat your friends at home to soft-salted grayling.

Day, 7
Breakfast, packing personal possessions by tourists and special duffel by the guides.
Helicopter transportation to Kyzyl. Rest and exchanging impressions with friends, goodbye dinner. If any free time is left — sightseeing in Kyzyl.
